paoloPaolo Francese, born in Salerno in 1969, began his musical studies at a very young age, graduating in piano with full honors at the Conservatory of Music “Domenico Cimarosa” of Avellino, under the guidance of Maestro Carlo Alessandro Lapegna.

His artistic training was also supported by the highest academic studies and interpretation piano held by eminent musicians (Sergio Fiorentino, Vincenzo Balzani, Boris Bekhterev, Aldo Ciccolini, Vladimir Krpan and Joaquín Achúcarro), and further enriched by courses of Psychology of Music with acoustics laboratory and neurophysiology of the musician, Conducting, Music Analysis (Marco de Natale) and Teaching piano (Hannibal Rebaudengo); currently he is waiting for a two-year specialization course for the achievement of the Academic Level II Diploma.

The piano competitions which took part have seen him always rank among the winners; is regularly invited to be part of the selection boards in national and international piano competitions, as well as a teacher in master classes and master classes (Holiday Musical International Volterra, Villa Palagione).

It is the promoter and artistic director of the International Piano Festival “PianoSolo” which It takes place annually in Salerno. Paul French is a consolidated international experience pianist: the concerts, to which he devoted himself both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles (duos with clarinet or violin, trio, quartet and piano quintet), also includes performances with orchestra (Orchestra Chamber of Salerno, National Symphony Orchestra Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia, Philharmonic Orchestra of Botosani – Romania, Orquesta de Extremadura – Spain, Klassische Philharmonie Nordwest – Bremen, Germany); he performed as part of prestigious festivals and important cultural institutions and concerts in Italy (Bologna, La Spezia, Naples, Enna, Ravello, Vietri sul Mare, Terni, Livorno, Trento, Varenna etc.) and abroad (Heidelberg Sils Maria – Switzerland, Paris, Porto, Bremen, Bonn, Frankfurt, Barcelona, León, Madrid).

Invited by the Italian Institute of Culture Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir – the Conservatory where he was a guest holding a seminar pianistic interpretation – has made a tour in Turkey, receiving the unanimous and flattering the audience and critics.
